Cirrus Inns wins Best Premium Food Offer at the Publican Awards

Cirrus Inns collection has won the award for Best Premium Food Operator at the 2019 Publican Awards.

Winners were announced this week at the Battersea Evolution at Battersea Power Station. The Publican awards celebrate the achievements of leading pub companies across a range of categories, which reflect the products and services on offer across the British pub estate.

The Best Premium Food accolade is awarded to a pub company that delivers a successful premium food offer across their estate, with food a key part of the company’s total sales. Cirrus Inns impressed the judges with the its emphasis on local food sourcing and understanding of the importance of sustainable food in today’s industry, and implementation of this across its collection. According to Cirrus Inns it champions British produce as a point of heritage.

Cirrus Inns recently increased its classic pub dishes, small plates and snack offering, as well increased focus on the vegan community. Last year it encouraged alfresco dining and garden cooking by creating a crab shack at The Mayflower in Hampshire.

Cirrus Inns operations director Paul Boyce at The Sands End in Fulham said: “We are delighted to be recognised in our industry for the Best Premium Food Offer, we strive to ensure that our menus feature the best seasonal and local produce where our chefs work closely with many of our local food heroes in order to do this.

“We are very proud of the innovation and creativity we see within our kitchens along with the exceptional talent we have. Through our Management Training Programme, we seek to nurture the best talent and look forward to the continued growth within the Cirrus Family”. The majority of Cirrus Inns fall under the umbrella of the Epicurean Collection – a group of countryside inns and city pubs dedicated to the finest in British food, comfort and culture.”
