December 2nd marks National English Breakfast Day 2020! Get the English Breakfast Handbook from the English Breakfast Society!
English Breakfast Day takes place on December 2nd every year and is celebrated by millions of people internationally. It was originally started in 1975 by the Chairman of The English Breakfast Society in order to support the history and heritage of the English breakfast and to celebrate a centuries old Anglo tradition globally.
The English Breakfast Society believes that international English Breakfast Day helps achieve three goals:
- It supports traditional chefs, farmers and butchers
- It celebrates an icon of English culinary culture
- It spreads word of the English breakfast tradition internationally, introducing new fans to our traditional full English breakfast ways
You can get involved on the day by enjoying our beloved national dish and sharing the experience on social media using the official English Breakfast Day hashtag #EnglishBreakfastDay.
