Last week for entries for eviivo’s independent hospitality awards

Entries for this year’s eviivo independent hospitality sector awards are being invited from independent hosts and hoteliers ahead of the 24 June deadline.

The awards, now in their sixth year, recognise the UK’s best B&Bs, guest houses, hotels, inns and other independent self-catered accommodation.

The awards fall into eight categories, with a shortlist to be selected.

The categories include tastiest breakfast; quirkiest place to stay; budget with a twist; outstanding host; sweetest homestay; multi-property wizard; bed, breakfast and beyond; and hidden gems among stars.

Pictured is last year’s best multi-property award presented to Julie Moss, managed house controller representing winner Swindon-based Arkell’s Brewery.

This year’s winners will be announced at a James Bond-themed ceremony at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms on 15 October.

Events eirector at eviivo Paul Saxby said: “We are very proud to be working with so many wonderful people that make Britain’s hospitality sector thrive. Holidaymakers are increasingly on the hunt for unique and authentic experiences, and new levels of comfort, cuisine, and service that regularly outscores the bigger chain hotels.

“Small, family-run hospitality businesses carry out their trade with real passion and tireless dedication.  They play a significant role in driving tourism and growth within their local community. The eviivo awards celebrate the fantastic work that they do. It is absolutely their moment, and every year we really look forward to announcing the winners and nominees at the ceremony.

“If you work in the UK hospitality sector and feel that your business and hard work deserve more recognition, by all means visit the awards website and submit your application.”
