The B&B sector is gearing up for its first B&B Day on the weekend of 24 March.

B&B Day occurs at be the culmination of English Tourism Week (#ETW18). Its aim is not only to support and celebrate the hospitality industry but also to get as many guests as possible staying in UK B&Bs over the weekend of 24/25th March, the last weekend of the off-peak season.

B&B Association chairman David Weston said: “We are inviting all B&Bs, guest houses and independent hotels to entice people to book by offering guests something special for B&B Day. Visit bandbday.com/participate to submit your offers and look at the ‘Inspiration’ and ‘Browse’ pages for ideas. It could be a discount or special deal but doesn’t have to be price based. Get creative! Could you for instance offer guests breakfast in bed, a free afternoon tea, free beauty treatment or a tasting of local produce on National B&B Day? So do get thinking, get involved, and submit your special deals or offers now at bandbday. com/participate

He added: “We’ve had support from a number of destinations including Cumbria Tourism, Welcome to Yorkshire, Visit Somerset and The English Riviera who have been active in promoting the day to businesses and potential guests.”

All of the deals are listed on the official B&B Day website at https://bandbday.com/search-offers/
